FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about the Diploma program:

You will have access to the online materials from the date you pay for the program until 6 months later. As soon as you complete all the online lessons, you are able to complete the online MCQ exam. Most students typically complete the online lessons within 2 to 3 months.

In order to work in Canada as a medical aesthetician, you are required to have a legal work permit and also prove that you have completed a medical aesthetician program. Your diploma in aesthetic medicine that you receive from the Canadian Board approves that you have sufficient education and experience in the field and you are able to work as a medical aesthetician in Canada (as long as you have a legal work permit). However, we recommend that you complete a medical aesthetician program in one of the college in Canada as well (typically takes about 6 months) since some of the medical spas prefer to hire the graduates of local medical aesthetician colleges.

At this point, the verification process to approve the educational and experience documents of the applicants is free of charge. If your application is approved, then you are required to pay the fee for online materials, examination and also receiving your certificate.

The first time MCQ exam is included in the fee that you pay for the registeration. If you achieve less than the passing mark in your MCQ exam, you can retake your exam with an additional fee (extra fee in this situation is $95)

Any certificate indicates that the applicant has completed courses in medical aesthetician field is acceptable. These courses might have been completed either in an institution/academy or in a private setting. In some countries, there is a national examination for approving medical aesthetician education. If this applies to your country of residence, please submit the approved national certificate.

The subjects which are expected to be completed in the education of the applicant are:

  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Microneedling
  • Chemical peel
  • Facials
  • Massage and lymphatic drainage
  • Exfoliation
  • Skin care products

In the application form we expect the applicant to attest that he/she has worked at least one year in the field of aesthetic medicine and has treated at least 40 clients with the common medical aesthetic procedures. In the case we would require further clarification, we will ask the applicant to share more information regarding their work, their business, their social media or verification from their clients. For some applicants, we might request for a resume (CV) to be submitted.
